Bonus Healthy Recipe: Multi-fruit Vanilla Rice Milk Smoothies (2 Servings)

I came across vanilla rice milk at my local supermarket yesterday.  I thought it would be nice to make a delicious smoothies using rice milk.  Here was how I made it:

1 avocado, halved and skinned

1 banana, cut in cubes

3 strawberries, hulled and cut in small cubes

0.5 cup spinach, cleaned

1 mango, skinned and cut in cubes

0.25 cup 0% yogurt

2 cups vanilla rice milk

1 kiwi, skinned and cut in cubes (optional)  —–>  I cut the kiwi in half and found the kiwi was not ripped yet.

0.25 cups crushed ice (optional)

1) Put everything in the blender.  You may add crushed ice if you like your smoothies to be cold.

2) Blend mixture thoroughly (it took me about 5 minutes).  Serve when ready.

This is certainly a healthy smoothies because it is low in fat.  Also,  this smoothies had a very creamy texture due to the avocado.   My parents also loved this smoothies because they thought the smoothies smelled so good.

I highly recommend this recipe for everyone.  You can omit the yogurt if you are lactose intolerant.

  1. i like using frozen strawberries in my smoothies because they add thickness and chill it down like ice but don’t water down the taste. fresh has the best nutrients, but frozen is almost just as good plus twice as refreshing on a hot day!
